Career

Santiago Diaz-Vence is a Colombian director who has built his career crossing borders, formats and industries. He has directed film, documentaries, advertising campaigns and music videos, developing a narrative vision that combines the visual precision of advertising with the emotional depth of cinema.

Throughout his career he has served as director, screenwriter, showrunner and creative director, leading award-winning series, projects for production companies like Sony Pictures and collaborations with some of the most important artists in music. Trained in Argentina, he has developed a vision that privileges emotion, authenticity and the strength of characters above format.

His work has been recognized with awards such as Cannes Lions, Clio Awards, TAL Awards, PRODU Awards and India Catalina, in addition to representing Colombia at film festivals and competitions around the world. In 2026 he won the FRAPA Award for Best Screenplay for La Rural, his first fiction feature film, and was highlighted by Rolling Stone as one of the directors with the greatest projection in the region.
